One Very Happy Reader
Yesterday, I received what is perhaps the best e-mail yet from a CharterWave reader:
“Thank you for your fabulous website. I was new to charter and came across your site earlier in the spring to learn more about chartering a private yacht. I contacted the folks at Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners, and broker Tracy Gulbranson placed my family on a wonderful week-long charter in New England. … Thanks again for your informative site, and I pass my recommendations of Tracy and the Rikki Davis/Churchill company on to anybody new to chartering a yacht. I look forward to reading more on your site!”
Now, you might think that this man is the very happy reader to whom I refer in this post’s title, but in reality, I’m the happiest reader of all. This man’s story is exactly what I envisioned when I built CharterWave, and I couldn’t be happier that somebody trying charter for the first time had a good experience onboard a great motoryacht because our articles gave him a basic understanding of how to find and work with a reputable broker.
One thing this reader also mentioned was that because we have such a comprehensive list of reputable brokers on CharterWave, it can be hard for a first-time charter client to choose. I asked whether he found our exclusive broker interviews helpful in learning how one broker differs from the next, and he replied:
“I consider myself still a rookie when it comes to the yachting vacation, but my understanding is that everybody can get access to the same boats, so it is a matter of building your trust with a broker and respecting the fact that they have seen the boats, know the captain or possibly most of the crew, can give itinerary suggestions, etc. Therefore, I think your site is fair and balanced in that it lists the companies and gives the reader the opportunity to go whichever direction he or she chooses.”
Right on the money–and again, this makes me the happiest reader of all. CharterWave is succeeding not only in bringing new people to yacht charter, but also in helping to make sure they have all the information they need to enjoy fantastic first-time experiences.
That’s a surefire recipe for continuing to grow CharterWave’s readership, not to mention the entire worldwide yacht charter industry as happy readers like this one come back for more.
