Details, Details
One of the yachts that I toured during the Sint Maarten charter show last month was the new 157-foot Lady Joy, recently launched from Christensen Shipyards and managed for charter by Sapphire Seas. The yacht is the latest in Christensen’s 157 semi-custom series, which means that you can find other boats similar to her in layout and styling available for charter around the world.
What makes each of these 157s different is the way the owners decorate inside. Lady Joy is an example of a more contemporary feel, with artwork that would look appropriate at the Museum of Modern Art and some touches like inlaid mother of pearl walls all along the master cabin bathroom.
One of the interior design details that caught my eye was the table in the main saloon. Here it is as it looks in the room, as well as in a close-up detail photo:
Pretty gorgeous, right? The use of marble is almost mosaic-like. It’s a design I haven’t seen elsewhere on yachts before.
