Thank You, Mattias
A person who goes by the name “mattias” posted an item this week on the popular Power & Motoryacht megayachts forum about my CharterWave review of the sailing yacht Maltese Falcon. And I quote:
“Here is a must-read for those of us who are tired of uncritical ‘hallelujah reviews’ of each and every yacht on the market. This reporter has a lot of guts–she even has the courage to express a few critical opinions. … It is a refreshing change from the usual norm.”
I truly appreciate that compliment, as I have made it one of my goals here on CharterWave to tell readers the truth as I find it onboard charter yachts the world over. Mattias is absolutely right when he (or she) says that most magazines and websites simply print whatever glowing marketing copy the yacht builders and charter companies send them. I actually get onboard these charter yachts to see for myself whether the marketing copy is true, and I tell you so when I believe things are different than the brochures would have you believe.
So thank you, mattias, whoever and wherever you are, for recognizing truthful and accurate reporting when you see it–and for sharing the message that makes CharterWave the world’s most trusted yacht vacation resource.
