Latitude Heading to Belize
Those of you who read the daily editor’s blog here on CharterWave know that I spent a few days in January on the west coast of Panama onboard the 170-foot expedition yacht Latitude. She’s a true expedition yacht, with an almost commercial-looking exterior plus a comfortable interior and lots of smaller boats for fishing, diving and the like. Here’s a look at her from her stern:

One of the things I like about Latitude (I’ll post a full review soon) is that her owner actually uses her to offer expeditions for charter clients, instead of keeping her in more common cruising grounds like the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Panama is just one example–and now I’ve learned that the yacht is heading to Belize and the Bay of Honduras this spring.
If you’re looking for a true charter expedition, versus a see-and-be-seen vacation in more populated areas, then a charter onboard on a yacht like Latitude in Belize or Honduras might be the right option for you. Precious few other, proper charter yachts are available there, either this spring or in general.
She’s part of the fleet at Neptune Group Yachting, whose insiders also tell me that some key crew changes are coming. Be sure to book through a reputable charter broker to help you stay on top of those details and more.
