charter yacht Lady Zehava salonFirst Impression: Lady Zehava

Date toured: May 2010

Lady Zehava is an 82-foot Sunseeker motoryacht that was built in 2004. The original owner was Danish and wanted to cruise in the North Sea, so the yacht has an unusual double heating system. I’m told that it comes in handy on cooler nights in the Mediterranean, which is where Lady Zehava first began cruising in 2007, when she got her second owner.

Capt. Victor Martin came aboard in March 2008, just before the second owner sold Lady Zehava to its current owner, who is an Israeli. The yacht chartered during the summers of 2008 and 2009 and did some cruising in the Red Sea, but now will be based year-round in the more popular cruising destinations of the Western Mediterranean.

“The plan now is to get as many charters as we can,” Martin told me. “We want to be moving.”

Lady Zehava is marketed as taking eight guests, but Martin says that is only ideal if they are four adults and four children. His opinion is informed by the size of the guest spaces as well as the layout of the guest cabins (two of which have twin-size beds).

The lowest weekly base rate to charter Lady Zehava is €36,000. Fraser Yachts Worldwide is the management company, and any reputable charter broker can help you book a week onboard.—Kim Kavin
