Nicholson Yachts says the 75-foot Privilege sailing catamaran Matau is heading back to the South Pacific. Matau will be in Fiji during June, July and August, taking eight guests at a weekly base rate of $55,000.
This will be a return trip to the South Pacific for Matau, which chartered in Tahiti and the Society Islands last summer. Prior to that, she was among the most popular sailing catamarans for charter in the Caribbean.
Matau is one of my favorite sailing cats in the charter industry. I cruised on board Matau a number of years ago in the Grenadines, and her layout and charter program are second to none. Her crew has changed over since I was on board, but she continues to earn high marks from clients, a testament to her owner keeping up his high standards of operations.
Matau accommodates eight guests in four staterooms: One has a king-size bed and three have queen-size beds, making her a great yacht for adult couples to charter together as a group.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Matau or help you book a charter aboard this summer in Fiji.
