Northrop and Johnson just welcomed the 125-foot Stadskanaal sailing yacht Adelaar to the charter fleet in Indonesia.
Adelaar is a classic Dutch schooner originally built in 1902, and most recently refitted during a years-long effort from 2008 to 2011. The yacht has a storied history, so much so that N&J says her early logs are on display at the maritime museum in Groningen, Netherlands.
Adelaar accommodates eight guests in four staterooms. All have ensuite bathrooms as well as modern audiovisual systems.
Perhaps most significant is that Adelaar has been sailing in Indonesia since 1994. Her captain and crew have extensive local knowledge of the islands—something that most newer charter yachts cannot offer in Southeast Asia.
The lowest weekly base rate is $31,675 to charter Adelaar in Indonesia. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
