Time to think about Greece? PDF Print E-mail

Hello,

It seems now is the right time to start thinking about yacht charters in Greece. Not only is this one of my two favourite places to cruise but early bookings are the right way to go to get the widest choice in fully crewed charter yachts legal to charter in Greek waters.  The yachts available each year are primarily made up of the limited fleet based and flagged in Greece with occasional additions of larger yachts travelling thru and able to start a charter outside Greece perhaps and end within Greece.

That all adds up to a very small and limited supply of fully crewed yachts.

As with other locations where owners are becoming sensitive to the economy, we have offers to share from some Greek owners. Click here to visit the charter news area of our site and see some offers with rates discounted up to 10%, or Click here to visit our Greece section.

Another piece of news is that one of the larger greek yachts, RM Elegant (2003 mega yacht which can sleep 30 guests) has crossed the Atlantic and is available for charters in the Bahamas and maybe Florida. She is open to last minute ideas! We saw her in Fort Lauderdale maybe two or three weeks ago and she is now sitting in the Cayman Islands through March 6th, the owners are willing to discuss all offers including Euro 35,000 per day, which is a good opportunity compared to her regular rate of Euro 60,000 per day.

All in all, time to think Greece for the best choice for summer 2009!
