Hello again, Been a bit of a gap since we wrote here due to some pressing local needs. Here's a interesting way in these trying times to experience a luxury sailing yacht in a fun environment without chartering the whole yacht! For those of us who enjoy sailing, if we want to sail the Caribbean and experience a large sailing yacht we usually have to charter the whole yacht. Not any more! The yacht managers of FORTUNA have shared with us the following information, credit to them for the description of the yacht:-
FORTUNA is offering an Antigua Race Week Special "by the berth" (per person) price of 1,600 euro + estimated expenses of 400 Euros per person. This price will allow up to ten days aboard! This is really a very rare opportunity to experience sailing on a large, fast luxury yacht without chartering the entire yacht. Fortuna is a superb 82' Maxi ketch, completely rebuilt for luxury charter while complimenting her thoroughbred racing pedigree. Captain / Owner Antonio Flores is a true sailor who proudly claims,"I leave the anchorage with the sails up and arrive back to the anchorage with the sails up..." and adds "On board FORTUNA we combine the Maxi sailing experience with lots of fun!" FORTUNA offers 2 boarding options: Guests may board on 22nd April in Guadeloupe from 6:00 pm on and participate in the Guadeloupe to Antigua Race on the 24th. Or alternatively guests may board in Antigua on the evening of 24th April. Fortuna will Race in Non Spinnaker Class. Guests also have the option to disembark on 3rd May in the morning from Antigua, or enjoy a final sail back to Guadeloupe and depart FORTUNA on the evening of 3rd May from Deshaies, Guadeloupe.
