Rainbow is a J-Class yacht, the type that ruled the America’s Cup races during the Golden Age of Yachting. But unlike restored historic J-Class yachts, Rainbow is a newer build, constructed in Holland in 2012. She’s named for the original Rainbow, which was a J-Class yacht that won the 1934 America’s Cup.
The 2012 Rainbow is rejoining the Yachting Partners International charter fleet after a stint in the McMaster Yachts charter fleet. She accommodates as many as eight guests in three staterooms. Her interior looks as classic as her exterior, with mahogany paneling and Art Deco decor, in keeping with the trends that were stylish when the original Rainbow launched.
Also noteworthy is that while the 2012 Rainbow may look like her namesake, she was constructed using modern technology. For instance, she’s one of the J-Class yachts to have a hybrid propulsion system.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Rainbow or help you book her at a lowest weekly base rate of €58,000.
