Edmiston says the 164-foot classic motoryacht Malahne is available for event charter at the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival.
She can accommodate as many as 40 guests at the quay for parties.
Malahne is a true classic, originally launched in 1937. She was built for William Lawrence Stephenson, who helped found F.W. Woolworth & Co. in Britain. He was an avid yachtsman who also commissioned the build of Velsheda, a J-Class sailing yacht that launched in 1933. Malahne later was owned by Hollywood film producer Sam Spiegel, who was involved in On the Waterfront, The Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia. Spiegel regularly entertained celebrities on board, including Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly.
The current owner of Malahne completed a 30-month restoration at the renowned Pendennis facility in 2015. The shipyard’s craftsmen brought the classic motoryacht back to her original Art Deco styling by working with Savile Row interior design firm Oliver Laws.
For the 2018 Mediterranean events, clients must book at least five days at a daily base rate of €27,500. A €15,000 security deposit is required, and guests must bring in a catering staff for events with more than 20 guests. Additional expenses also apply.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Malahne or help you book her for the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix or Cannes Film Festival.
