The industry-only MYBA Charter Show was held recently in Barcelona, Spain, and as always, it included a culinary competition where charter-yacht chefs get to show off their best skills.
Here’s a list of the winners, as well as the yachts where they work—where any reputable charter broker can help you book a week on board in the Mediterranean this summer.
Yachts 183 feet and larger: first place, Lauren Everet, sailing yacht Seahawk; second place, chef Toine Smulders, motoryacht Sherakhan; third place, chef David Keates, motoryacht Jaguar.
Yachts 141 feet to 182 feet: first place, chef Andrea Compidonico, motoryacht Victory; second place, chef Phil Wallis, motoryacht Maraya; third place, chef Karlo Kaleb, motoryacht Aiaxaia.
Yachts up to 139 feet: first place, chef James Wright, motoryacht Awol; second place, chef Simon Whitelaw, motoryacht Manifiq; third place, chef Benjamino Quinton, motoryacht Heavenly Daze.
The judges also made special mention of chef Neil Walker aboard the motoryacht Elixer.
In the tablescaping competition, the winning stewardesses were Tabitha Lewtas of the motoryacht Joy; Katarina Markioli of the motoryacht Aiaxaia, and Giverny Cowie of the motoryacht Awol.
Congratulations to all the winners!
