New to OCI Charter Fleet: Asolare

The 154-foot Hodgdon sailing yacht is taking inquiries for the West Mediterranean this summer

Ocean Independence has just welcomed the 154-foot Hodgdon sailing yacht Asolare to the charter fleet. She’s now taking inquiries for Mediterranean charters this summer.

Asolare is a 2003 build that most recently was refitted in 2016. She used to charter by the name Scheherazade. The Bruce King Design has an Andrew Winch interior, with accommodations for six guests in three staterooms. The master spans the full beam of the yacht and has his-and-her offices.

One of the more unusual features aboard is that the yacht was constructed from the perfectly preserved wood of six Douglas fir trees that fell into a Washington state swamp some 600 years ago. (You don’t hear that one every day.)

Asolare is available throughout the West Mediterranean this summer. Her lowest weekly base rate is €82,000.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
