10 Best Summer Charter Destination Alternatives PDF Print E-mail

The team at Allied Yacht Charters recommends summer charters in New England, where the 78-foot Cheoy Lee motoryacht Lady Sharon Gale will be available: “With so many quaint spots to dock at and enjoy the shopping, restaurants and sightseeing, New England makes for a fantastic summer charter holiday!“

Brokers at Select Yachts say two exotic locations are ideal for charters this summer. First up is Tahiti, where the 74-foot sailing yacht Runaway Bunny will be available for bookings in June and July.

The second destination suggestion from the Select Yachts team is Barbados, where the 80-foot sailing yacht Longobarda will be based for charters all summer long.

Asia Pacific Superyachts says the stunning 134-foot sailing yacht Queen of Andaman will be offering charters from mid-June through September in Indonesia, which boasts 7,000 islands and is the world’s largest archipelago.

Sunseeker Charters recommends heading to Greece and exploring more than 1,400 islands far from city life. The company has three charter motoryachts based in Greece this summer at multiple price points: one 50-footer, one 60-footer, and one 90-footer.

The team at OceanStyle suggests a summer charter in Croatia, where the 86-foot Azimut motoryacht Chimera as well as the 88-foot Ferretti motoryacht Pulena will be available this summer. Pulena has a Croatian crew who speak English, and thus can show you the local’s view of the islands without any language barriers.

Brokers at Churchill Yacht Partners say the 90-foot Stephens motoryacht Trilogy will be offering charters this summer in the Great Lakes. Itineraries can include stops at the art galleries of Charlevoix, Michigan; golf at Bay Harbor, Michigan; and pedestrian-only Mackinaw Island.

Charter director Reia Stannard at CharterWorld.com suggests French Polynesia as an ideal summer destination for yacht charter: “With clear, protected lagoons and soaring volcanic mountains, French Polynesia is one of the most romantic destinations on earth.” One of the yachts she recommends for this summer is also one of our favorites here at CharterWave: the 108-foot motoryacht Askari.

The team at Ocean Independence recommends going off the usual Mediterranean path and enjoying a summer vacation in Spain, where the company has no fewer than eight sailing and motoryachts available for charters based in the Balearic Isles. They range from the 68-foot motoryacht Distar Princess to the 123-foot sailing yacht Alexa.

Brokers at The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals suggest cruising this summer from British Columbia to Alaska aboard the 121-foot Benetti motoryacht Quivera, whose water toys include a spate of fishing equipment that is ideal for catching the fresh salmon in those scenic waters.
