Precious few charter yachts offer itineraries each summer in Greenland, and even fewer, if any, offer bookings in the Northwest Passage. Recent years have seen the 253-foot converted ice-breaker Legend and the 183-foot Perini Navi sailing yacht Rosehearty up in the extreme northern charter grounds, and for this summer, Y.CO says the 151-foot expedition motoryacht Pioneer will be going.
The plan is for Pioneer to charter in Greenland during the month of July, with availability in the Northwest Passage starting August 21.
Pioneer is a 1996 build from the Palmer Johnson shipyard. She underwent an extensive refit in 2015, extending her main salon and adding a split-level sundeck. She accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms and has a range of 8,000 nautical miles—making her a true go-anywhere yacht.
The lowest weekly base rate is $120,000 to charter Pioneer this summer in Greenland or the Northwest Passage. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
