"One of the motoryachts that impressed me during the recent Caribbean charter shows is the 135-foot Blind Date, which is part of the fleet at Peter Insull's. I liked Blind Date for a few reasons, including that she's a comfortable boat (more on that in an upcoming First Impression review) and that her chef left brokers raving after an invitation-only lunch (I'll post my exclusive Q&A with him soon in our Crew Interviews section). But the thing that sticks most in my mind from this yacht are the little custom goodies the yacht's owner makes as treats for charter guests. There are Blind Date candies, Blind Date soaps--you name it, and it's there for you. It's a small detail that makes a big impression, an indication that the yacht's owner is interested in doing just that much more than the next guy to win your charter business. Here's a snapshot of some of the offerings: blind-date-goodies-2-med-file.JPG As you regular CharterWave readers know, I'm a fan of any yacht owner who takes winning your charter business seriously. Little details like these are a strong indication that Blind Date's owner falls into that category. To learn more or request booking information, contact any reputable charter broker."
