Fox Harb'r Resort

This is the 17th hole at Nova Scotia's Fox Harb'r Resort, a luxury location where golf is one of the featured activities. You might recognize the resort's name, which is similar to that of the 161-foot Trinity motoryacht Destination Fox Harb'r Too, a recent favorite of mine that just made the short list of nominees for Best Series Motoryacht Interior and Best Semi-Displacement Motoryacht in the 2009 Showboats International Awards.

As you can see from the photograph above, the $225-per-round golf course is on the waterfront--which makes it all the more interesting that the owner is currently offering voucher packages for the resort to anyone who books a charter aboard the yacht this summer in Nova Scotia. According to management company Northrop & Johnson, the resort vouchers are available if you book at least seven nights onboard the boat at a weekly base rate of $230,000 for 11 guests.

Golf and yacht charter rarely are matched in a package such as this one, with the same owner controlling the boat as well as the resort--in a place where you can literally cruise right alongside the course. It's hard to imagine an experience like that of the 17th hole shown above, where you might line up your tee shot, swing away, and then walk to the green with a view of your chartered motoryacht just over your shoulder.

I'll hopefully be able to tell you more about that experience soon, as I have been invited to spend a few days checking out the yacht and golf course later this summer. And, just to be sure I'm giving you information about the course that is just as unbiased and knowledgeable as information about the yacht, I'll be bringing along my husband--a PGA golf professional.

Until then, any reputable charter broker can help you take advantage of the yacht-and-resort deal that Destination Fox Harb'r Too is currently offering in Nova Scotia.
