The photograph at right is of Emily Williams, who is grinning because she has just won the 2007 Tortola "Best in Show" chef's award. At the time, she was working aboard the 50-foot sailing catamaran Swish, a lovely yacht that takes six or seven guests. It was the first boat that Emily and her husband, Euros, had run as chef and captain. Previously, they had been stewardess and first mate aboard the 65-foot sailing catamaran True North. Now, Emily and Euros have become chef and captain aboard the 76-foot King's Ransom, one of the largest sailing catamarans available for charter in the British Virgin Islands. They accepted the job after taking some time off "between boats" to visit family in the United Kingdom and travel with friends to Egypt. Their holiday included a week aboard a liveaboard dive boat in the Red Sea, should you wonder whether these two are really as excited about water sports as charter brokers say. The couple also enjoyed a three-day cruise on the Nile River, should you wonder whether they really love boats. They can't stay away from them, even on their first vacation in several years. King's Ransom is now in the Virgin Islands and is prepared for a season of charter in that area as well as along the islands of the Northern and Southern Caribbean, depending on where the charter bookings come. Euros and Emily tell me that their crew will include a mate and stewardess they know to be well experienced. They're calling the team "a dream crew of four." (See the photograph below.) Christmas week is still available for a charter booking with the new team aboard King's Ransom. Any reputable charter broker can help you with scheduling and rates.

I absolutely love it when talented charter yacht crew move up to bigger and more exciting yachts.
