That's because they recently attended the 22nd Annual Showboats International Boys & Girls Club Rendezvous, a Florida event that raised more than a million dollars to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County (which includes the yachting mecca of Fort Lauderdale). Some $50,000 of that money raised for children in need was thanks to the owners of Essence, who donated two charters of four days apiece for auction on behalf of the group. “To come into a brand-new event and venue and to donate not one but two charter vacations is to say a lot for first-time visitors to this event," rendezvous co-chair Linda Von Allman said of the yacht's owners. "It certainly showed their hearts were in the right place, and they realized it was all for the kids.” Essence is part of the charter fleet at The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals. She is available this winter in the Caribbean. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week onboard. Comments (0)
