You may recall this blog post, in which I introduced the 28-guest expedition yacht Atmosphere as a new option being promoted for charter in South America through Edmiston and Company. Now comes word that the yacht has had a last-minute cancellation and is being made available for a one-week charter in Patagonia beginning this Sunday (January 17) at a base rate of $200,000. Atmosphere is a true expedition yacht, outfitted with an array of tenders that includes five jet boats, each 23 feet long; 36 fishing skiffs; and at least a pair of Bell 407 helicopters for heli-skiing, dining atop glaciers, and more activities that make charters in places like Patagonia so unique. Because Atmosphere takes so many guests, the weekly base rate breaks down to about $7,100 per person--lower than on most other charter yachts in this price range, which tend to take 12 guests maximum. Any reputable charter broker can help you book Atmosphere either for the opening next week, or later in the year. Comments (0)
