Edmiston and Company continues to announce price breaks for its yachts chartering in the Western Mediterranean this summer. I have received three announcements in the past week alone, all for significant motoryachts based in the Mediterranean.

First is the 124-foot Heesen motoryacht Calaf, which is offering a 20-percent discount for charters during the rest of July and all of August. The regular weekly base rate during these months is €85,000, and the discounted rate is €68,000--even lower than than Calaf's advertised "low season" base rate of €70,000.

Next is the 144-foot Feadship motoryacht Kingfisher, which will be available from the South of France beginning July 30. Typically, Kingfisher has a base rate of $180,000 for seven days at this time of year. The newly announced base rate is $145,000 for eight days.

Third this week from Edmiston is the 154-foot Amtec motoryacht Out, which is shown in the photograph above. She has a gap in her calendar beginning this week and ending July 30. To fill it, the owner is offering a 15-percent discount off the regular rate--and the owner "will consider more" of a discount for clients who are ready to book immediately, according to Edmiston. The lowest advertised weekly base rate for Out is currently €165,000.
