BCR Yachts sends word of an interesting discount that will become available beginning August 20 in the Western Mediterranean.

The 108-foot Wally sailing yacht Wally B (shown in the photograph at right) is being offered for tandem charters alongside the 103-foot Benetti motoryacht Happy Hour at a combined weekly base rate of €79,000. That price, according to BCR, represents a savings of €19,000 (some 25 percent) compared with the separate charter of each yacht.

BCR says the tandem deal is "perfect for larger parties of up to 14 guests wishing to combine both sporty and classic tastes. Clients can enjoy day sailing on the Wally and evening partying on the tastefully restored Benetti."

I enjoyed a similar experience in December during a day of tandem charter aboard the 136-foot sailing yacht Ranger and the 150-foot Trinity motoryacht Vita. It was, indeed, the best of both worlds to be able to experience world-class sailing as well as spacious entertaining and dining, a combination that can be challenging to find aboard any single yacht available for charter worldwide.
