I just posted this new full-length feature on CharterWave about the week I spent in Nova Scotia aboard the 161-foot Trinity motoryacht Destination Fox Harb'r Too. While there are a handful of 161 Trinity yachts available for charter these days, Destination Fox Harb'r Too is unusual not only because of her summertime cruising grounds, but also because of the way her owner and captain integrate golf into charter itineraries.

Most charter yachts spend the summer months in the Mediterranean, New England, or the Bahamas, but Destination Fox Harb'r Too goes to Nova Scotia because it is the home of Fox Harb'r Resort, one of the yacht owner's properties. The resort offers a 27-hole, Graham Cook-designed golf course, a full spa, a sporting clays course, multiple restaurants, a boutique hotel, and luxury residences. When you book a charter, you literally stand at the tees and greens with your golf bag on one side and a view of your yacht at anchor on the other.

Even better for charter clients who enjoy hitting the links is that this part of the Canadian Maritimes region is chock-full of more great golf courses that you can access as part of a one- or two-week cruising itinerary. It is both rare and precious to find a charter yacht so immersed in the golfing lifestyle.
