Management company Ocean Independence tells me that she is the 111-foot J.O.M. sailing yacht Annagine, due to officially launch from the shipyard in the next couple of weeks and then make her way to the Caribbean, where she will become available for charter this winter. Annagine has three guest cabins for a total of eight possible guests if you include the two bunk-style Pullman berths. Her captain is Ian Savage, who has earned a solid reputation in the charter industry as the skipper of the owner's previous, smaller yacht by the same name. Ocean Independence apparently believes Annagine will be in high demand this winter, since the yacht is being promoted as requiring a 10-day booking for anyone who wants to be aboard during Christmas or New Year's. This, at a time when other yachts are already announcing discount offers and eliminating previous years' booking minimums. Annagine's lowest weekly base rate will be €39,000. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week onboard. Comments (0)
