Yesterday's talk of winter-season discounts apparently was a bit premature, since there are still late-summer discounts rolling in. And substantial discounts, at that.

The most recent example is from Primo Yacht, which says the 148-foot Feadship motoryacht Secret Life is offering a 30-percent discount after September 15 in Southern Italy. The yacht is ending a charter in Palermo, Sicily, on that date, so the owner wants to get bookings that begin in the same region. He is thus dropping the weekly base rate from €89,000 to €63,000, and is including free fuel for charter clients who book at least one week aboard.

Secret Life is a 1974 build that takes as many as 12 guests with 10 crew. It's worth noting that the newly offered rate is even lower than her most recently publicized discount rate, which was  €79,000 back in March.
