Benetti Motoryacht Latitude Joins Yacht Carbon Offset PDF Print E-mail

charter yacht LatitudeYacht Carbon Offset is an increasingly popular program that helps megayacht owners and charter clients offset the carbon footprint that comes with any yachting vacation. I wrote back in September 2010 about a partnership between the company and Fraser Yachts Worldwide, and now comes word that a significant yacht in the Fraser charter fleet has signed up to offset its emissions.

Latitude, a 170-foot Benetti motoryacht, will now offset all fuel burned onboard by using the Yacht Carbon Offset program to invest in green energy projects.

“Delivering excellent service to our guests often includes the assurance that the highest standards are in place, including taking all practical steps to operate in an environmentally sensitive manner," Latitude captain Paul Bickley said in a press release. "Carbon offsetting is therefore a natural progression for Latitude and I’m sure will be welcomed by all onboard.”

Latitude is a 2008 build that takes 12 guests with 13 crew. She is based year-round in the Western Mediterranean at a lowest weekly base rate of €203,000.

Any reputable charter broker can help you book a week aboard Latitude or tell you more about how you can use Yacht Carbon Offset for your next charter aboard another yacht.
