Book Samar by Mid-October, Save $490,000 on Winter Caribbean Yacht Charter PDF Print E-mail

charter yacht Samar main salonEdmiston and Company has a real doozie of an announcement this week. The 254-foot motoryacht Samar, whose lowest weekly base rate is €650,000, is being offered for charters in the Caribbean starting February 1 at a weekly base rate of $375,00.

As the current exchange rate makes Samar's €650,000 rate the equivalent of about $865,000, the newly announced deal is a savings of $490,000. That's a discount of more than 50 percent. It's even greater than the groundbreaking discounts that Samar offered at this time a year ago.

The only catch is that you have to book by October 17 for charter dates between early February and late April of 2012. Samar will be based in and around Antigua in the Northern Caribbean during that time.

Samar is a 2006 Devonport build that was created for an experienced yachtsman. He believes that interior volume equals luxury, which is why the yacht has 10-foot ceilings in the guest spaces. The effect, when combined with the interior decor, is one of Old World grandeur. This is a yacht where heads of nations have met in the past for state dinners, as if they were at a palace in Europe. They converse in places like the main salon, which is shown in the photograph at right.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Samar or help you book her at the newly announced Caribbean yacht charter rate, which Edmiston and Company rightfully calls unprecedented.
