Atlantica Crew Moving to Charter Yacht Encore PDF Print E-mail

charter yacht EncoreOne of my favorite charter captains, Roy Hodges of the 135-foot Christensen motoryacht Atlantica, sends word that he and his wife, chef/purser Stephanie Hodges, are moving to the 150-foot Trinity motoryacht Encore.

Encore previously was known as Magic and for years has been operated for charter by another of my favorite husband-and-wife teams: Capt. Mac and chef Betsy McDonald. The boat has always looked great when I've seen her, and apparently now looks even better thanks to a refit that included the addition of zero-speed stabilizers. That's Encore in the photograph at right.

"It is a great boat with an owner who is very committed to developing a similar charter program to what we have done in the past," Roy Hodges told me yesterday. "We feel very privileged to be able to move into such a good situation. We are also very happy to be staying with the International Yacht Collection charter fleet."

Encore is expected to be available for charter in the Bahamas and Caribbean, with a possible trip up to New England this coming summer. The weekly base rate will be $145,000 for 12 guests with 10 crew.

My congratulations to the Hodges on moving up to this larger motoryacht for charter. The expanded amenities should only enhance the wonderful charter program they have developed aboard Atlantica in recent years.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Encore or help you book a week onboard.
