charter yacht Flying GinnyRegency Yacht Vacations sends word that the 55-foot sailing catamaran Flying Ginny VII is offering a $1,000 discount on charters in the British Virgin Islands between March 25 and April 12.

The regular weekly rates for two to eight guests are $13,900 to $17,900. Those rates include most expenses, such as food, ship's bar, and cruising permits.

I was last onboard Flying Ginny back in the fall of 2008 (when her weekly base rates, by the way, were exactly the same as they are today). The 1992 build went through her most recent refit this past fall and earned strong marks from several charter brokers at the most recent Virgin Islands charter yacht show. At least one broker told me that Flying Ginny was among the top yachts he would recommend in the 55-foot size range, out of all the yachts in the entire show.

Also worth noting is that Flying Ginny's chef has won a number of culinary awards. She is an American who has studied cooking in Australia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Thailand, and the United States. Sounds like a lot of interesting recipes to me.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Flying Ginny or help you book during the upcoming weeks with the $1,000 discount.
