charter yacht This Is UsOcean Independence sends word that the 141-foot Holland Jachtbouw sailing yacht This Is Us is dropping her weekly base rate by 25 percent in the Caribbean--and offering additional discounted rates of as much as 30 percent for bookings longer than seven days.

The regular weekly base rate to charter This Is Us is €64,000. The newly announced incentive rate for a seven-day charter is €47,500. That's a savings of 25 percent.

If you book a nine-day charter, the base rate drops from €82,285 to €59,375. If you book a 10-day charter, the base rate drops from €91,425 to €65,625. And, finally, if you book a 14-day charter, you can save 30 percent with the base rate dropping from €128,000 to €90,625.

These incentive rates follow an announcement of a different price structure that the yacht offered last month, when it promoted nine days for the price of seven.

I was most recently onboard This Is Us in December 2010. The 2005 launch looked absolutely stunning and had just gotten a new owner who is from Belgium. The yacht remains a classically elegant design with an interior decor filled with fine woodwork.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book This Is Us at the newly announced rates in the Caribbean.
