Motoryacht Heavenly Daze Getting 40th Birthday Makeover PDF Print E-mail

charter yacht Heavenly Daze 1972 launchOcean Independence sends word that the 104-foot Feadship motoryacht Heavenly Daze is currently at Pendennis Shipyard undergoing a refit in honor of her 40th birthday. (That's her original birthday photograph at right, taken the same year that I was born, actually.)

All of the guest cabins are being refreshed, and the twin-bed cabins are being redone so that the beds will now convert to doubles if that's what charter guests prefer. The work will make Heavenly Daze more flexible for charters of all kinds.

A lot of charter clients look past yachts like Heavenly Daze because of their build year, thinking that newer yachts must be better. That can often be a serious mistake. I was onboard Heavenly Daze about two years ago with some of the leading charter brokers in the industry, and they all raved about the outstanding charter experience that she offers. The owner invests in strong crew and continual upkeep, and offers the yacht at a reasonable weekly base rate because of her vintage. That makes Heavenly Daze a great value, one that several brokers told me keeps their repeat clients coming back year after year.

Once the current refit work is complete, Heavenly Daze will return to charter in the Mediterranean. The owner is continuing to offer her at the summer 2011 weekly base rates, which start at €49,500.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week onboard this summer.
