Edmiston and Company tells me that the owner of the 133-foot Heesen motoryacht Mac Brew is keen to book a charter during the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco from May 11-13.
To entice a client, the owner is dropping the yacht's weekly base rate by a full 50 percent during those dates. Previously Mac Brew was offered at a weekly base rate of €105,000. For that week in the middle of May, she is now being offered at €52,500.
The Historic Grand Prix of Monaco takes place every other year on dates that are two weeks in advance of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. Participants drive the same course through the streets of Monaco, only in race cars built as long ago as the 1940s. Those are actual, recent competitors in the photograph at right, even though they look like they are driving several decades ago.
Mac Brew is a 2002 build that entered the charter market in 2008. I was last onboard Mac Brew late that year, and I thought she offered some interesting features for charter. Her entire aft deck is glass-enclosed and air-conditioned, there's a lovely children's playroom/media room forward on the main deck, and the master suite is located on the upper deck with terrific views and a private outdoor deck.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Mac Brew or help you book her at the half-off rate in time for the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco.
