Unique Charter Opportunity for Monaco Grand Prix PDF Print E-mail

charter yacht RS EdenOcean Independence tells me that the owner of the 157-foot motoryacht RS Eden is offering a unique charter opportunity during the Monaco Grand Prix in May.

RS Eden was originally built in 1930 and completely refit in 2007, making her a "modern classic" in the truest sense. The yacht herself is available for charter during the Formula One event at a weekly base rate of €91,000. She can accommodate 75 guests at the quay, as well as 11 guests overnight in six cabins.

In addition, RS Eden's owner is making available a rooftop terrace at the penthouse of Shangri-La, a land-based building from which guests have a view of nearly the entire race circuit including the pit area. The owner of RS Eden is making the penthouse terrace available at an additional charter fee of €100,000 for as many as 30 guests. That rate covers both Saturday and Sunday of the race weekend and includes availability each day from 9 a.m. until the end of racing.

It seems to be a good deal, since tickets to access Shangri-La during the event (not even the penthouse) are currently running about €2,000 per person through online vendors.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about RS Eden or help you book either the yacht alone or the yacht-penthouse combination in time for the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix.
