charter yacht Kimberly II sundeckEdmiston and Company sends word that two of the charter yachts in its fleet have each dropped their weekly base rates by 30 percent for charters during the rest of the summer season in Croatia and along the Dalmatian Coast.

The two motoryachts are the 139-foot Mondomarine Kimberly II and the 149-foot Mondomarine Princess Iolanthe. Each previously had a lowest weekly base rate of €150,000. The weekly base rate for each yacht is now €105,000.

I was last onboard Kimberly II in late 2010, and I was last onboard Princess Iolanthe in spring 2007. Both yachts showed well at the time of my visits, with spacious guest areas and enticing outdoor decks for sunbathing, dining, and enjoying cocktails. That's the top deck aboard Kimberly II in the photograph at right.

Kimberly II takes 12 guests in five cabins, while Princess Iolanthe takes 10 guests in five cabins. Both have similar cruising speeds in the 15-knot range.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Kimberly II or Princess Iolanthe, or help you book them in Croatia this summer at the newly announced discount rates.
