2013 America's Cup in San Francisco BayFraser Yachts Worldwide, which is an operational partner of the America's Cup Superyacht Program, has just released information about berths that will be available to private and chartered yachts whose guests want to enjoy the race action in San Francisco Bay during summer 2013.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled to take place on the Fourth of July, which of course is also America's holiday celebrating independence. The opening series of races will be July 5-7, followed by Challenger Series and Louis Vuitton Cup races from July 9 through August 30. The Youth America's Cup is scheduled August 31 through September 4, with America's Cup Match Finals from September 7-23.

In conjunction with the America's Cup event, Boat International will hold a superyacht regatta in San Francisco from September 9-13.

As you can see in the image at right, which was provided by Fraser Yachts Worldwide, the race course will take the yachts past the world-renowned Golden Gate Bridge as well as near the infamous Alcatraz prison island (which is well worth a tour if you've never been there). Superyacht berths are available at Piers 27 and 29, which are scheduled to be home to the America's Cup Village, as well as the start and finish line for the course.

Depending on the dates when you are interested in attending, the berthing fee will range from $30,000 to $192,000. That fee is in addition to any charter yacht's weekly base rate and other, customary fees.

Contact any reputable charter broker to learn more about yachts that are available for charter during the America's Cup in summer 2013, or contact Fraser Yachts directly to learn about available berths.
