For starters, it's rare for charter yachts to get coverage outside of the marine magazines. This is a real shame, because the people who buy marine magazines typically are already aware that yacht charter exists. Kudos to this popular American travel magazine for giving yacht charter such prominent billing and, hopefully, introducing the concept of charter to an entirely new audience. In addition, it's rare for charter yachts to be described as anything other than top-dollar luxury, when in reality, that is but one segment of the crewed charter market. Tachyon is an example of a well-respected charter yacht whose rates are welcoming to far more people than just the world's richest and most famous. Hence the yacht's appearance on the cover of a magazine called Budget Travel. Last, I think it's terrific that Budget Travel chose this particular charter yacht for its cover. I first covered Tachyon on CharterWave back in 2006, which is the year that Stahl and his wife, Jacque, bought her and put her into the Virgin Islands charter scene. They really made a great impression on me at that year's Tortola charter yacht show, and when I interviewed Eric Stahl again in early 2007, it was clear that the yacht was already beginning to realize its potential. Tachyon has since gone on to earn a strong reputation with charter brokers and a healthy base of repeat clients throughout the Caribbean. It's great to see a well-run charter yacht getting a new boost with nationwide publicity just a few years after entering the charter business. Tachyon is currently available for charters in the Grenadines. Regency Yacht Vacations is the management company, and any reputable charter broker can help you book a week onboard.
