Broker Missy Johnston has been a member of the American Yacht Charter Association since 1991 and was an officer on its Board of Directors between 1995 and 2002, when she completed her term as president. She also has been a member of the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association since 2005. Missy participated in writing the Passenger Vessel Safety Act of 1995, and she served as the liaison to the U.S. Coast Guard, meeting with the appropriate committees in the U.S. Congress, as the law was conceived and enacted. Missy currently serves on other worldwide charter industry committees and travels extensively to inspect charter yachts and interview crew.
Broker Carolyn Titus has nearly 30 years of experience in the charter industry, both as a charter broker and a charter yacht manager. Before joining Northrop and Johnson Worldwide Yacht Charters, Carolyn managed, operated, and directed the Nautor Swan charter fleet, giving her a uniquely strong background in arranging luxury racing charters. She is a founding member of the American Yacht Charter Association and helped to create the boat show that is now held annually for the industry in Genoa, Italy. She served on that show’s Board of Directors for 13 years. Carolyn has been sailing since childhood and has participated in the annual Sint Maarten Heineken Regatta every year since 1996.
