Just spoke with Captain Andy & KC from that gorgeous monohull sailing yachts ‘Stenella’. They have spent their summer break cruisng the western USA in an RV! KC (and American) is showing Andy (the Brit) the less traveled parts of the USA as well as stopping to see their many past guests – who often turn out to be friends for life. The favorite so far? Yosemite National Park.
But their final take on their trip? Can’t wait to get home on board Stenella& jump over the side into crystal clear waters before even having a first cup of coffee! What a way to start the day!

The spectacular mega yacht Hyperion was built with fanatical attention to detail in the Royal Huisman Shipyard in Holland. This 156′ yacht is chock full of the latest technology, all pacakged in traditional warm elegant woodwork. With 9 crew to llok after 6 guests, this is true luxury. Hyperion sails through the Panaman Canal over the new year and is available in January in Costa Rica/Panama or a variety of other Caribbean islands.
What a way to reward yourself and your family for all that hard work!

Such an appropriate name for a wonderful power yacht with a crew to match! I heard from Captain Jack yesterday that he is wrapping up a very sucessful Med season — he especially loved Croatia. Now the crew gets some R&R while Harmony (great for 8 guests in 115′ of luxury motor yacht) is shipped to the Caribbean for a busy winter season. Can’t wait to see them in December!

Alexis is just the nicest catamaran, geared to two or four guests, which is great because many cats are set up for only big groups with pricing that reflects it. Over the holidays Geoff & Bambi are sure to pamper their guests with food that is creative but touches on the traditional. At an inclusive rate of $9,500 for 7 nights for up to 4 people you just can’t find a better yacht & crew!

Just heard from the gorgeous sailing ketch High Aspect that they will be available in Thailand and Myanmar this winter season. This British flag yacht has 4 double cabins and crew that enjoy taking their guests off the beaten track — scuba diving and fly fishing are their specialities. What a great way to see this incrediable area — relaxed and friendly Buddhist culture, clear water around spectacular reefs. I loved my time sailing there! And at a rate of $25,000 a week for 8, this is a great value.

There is a growing number of requests for large power yachts to be in the Leeward Islands — everyone wants to be sitting in Gustavia Harbour for the New Year holiday! Most yachts have a minimum number of nights or a holiday premium price for this popular time — so it is important to try and plan ahead. Imagine sitting on the top deck of your 45 meter (sounds better in feet — 140) lounging in the hot water of the jacuzzi under a star spangled sky — heaven!

Captain Doug from Mustang Sally called — they plan to travel further south to the Grenadines for April & May 2008. What a great catamaran & crew — relaxed, not stuffy people who know how to show people the laid back lifestyle of the Caribbean. Have a few clients I will call to let them have first shot at Mustang Sally!

Greg & Lana of the Irwin La Dolce Vita just called — they were so excited that the 6 year old they had on board last week took the plunge and learned how to get his face wet! That’s one of the first steps in learning to swim well. Although he did wear his swim vest, he was so taken with the idea of seeing the fish in the clear water that he overcame his reluctance & even put on a snorkel mask. Mom & Dad were thrilled and the crew were happy that they helped Kevin overcome his reluctance to get wet! Small steps, but big life changes! Yacht charter crew are great - patient & enthusiastic!
