Hotel & Sea Package

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Crystal Clear and her Captain Charly Zahre have teamed with Biras Creek Resort on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands to offer Sea & Hotel Packages. Try sailing for two night with four in the hotel — or the other way around. This inclusive package gives you the perfect way to relax and yet get out & see some parts of the BVI that can only be reached by water.

Crystal Clear is a 60′ kecth, very comfortable for a couple or groups up to 4. First rate food, and easy pace that is designed to help you relax — try this combination for the best of both worlds!

Marmot — luxury in 65 feet

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

Marmot looked lovely this year — very sleek and go fast in catamaran styling. This 65′ cat can accomodate up to 8 guests and the cockpit is shaded & HUGE — plenty of space of outdoor living. Plus Sarah & Al are tons of fun & know every noonk & crany of the BVI

Marmot is one of my favorite choices for a sporty, yet luxurious catamaran — call for availability!

Head winds in the Med

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

What do international economics have to do with yacht chartering? The low US Dollar value to the Euro has a number of owners deciding on keeping their yachts in the Caribbean for the summer season rather than sending them to the Med. The ultimate status symbol this year might be those who charter a yacht there as the cost and running expenses are all 45% higher being paid in Euros.  The good news for American owners is that their yachts have excellent value considering the exchange rate.

The good news? Yachts travel and there is always a place where the economics of chartering works!

The name Feadship always comes up when speaking about superior quality & workmanship in yachts. This year at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Elizabeth J showed how a classic desgin can be updates to more modern tastes. This 52 meter yachts has accomodations for 12 guests in modern clean spaces that are comfortable and usable. The massive top deck is where most guests will hang out — dinign under an awinging, sunbathing on a lounge chair — or using the diving board to see if you’ve lost your spirit of adventure!

A crew from many nations is geared to active families who want to participate in water sports as well as enjoy the finer things in life.

Available in a variety of locations in the Caribbean, this yacht is high on my recommended list!

Power yachts charter — all inclusive

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Keep in mind that the larger power yachts charge a base rate and all expenses fo running the yacht (fuel, water, ice, dockage, food, beverages) are additional expenses. Yet the Virgin Islands still has a number of power yachts that market themselves as all inclusive. This is a great deal fro client who want to try a power yacht yet are concerned about the budget.

So try an inclusive yacht charter in the Virgin Islands — tons of fun!
