If you're a regular reader of mine, then you know that back in November, I launched a new website called BoaterMouth. My idea when I conceived BoaterMouth was to combine the blog that you are reading right now, which originates on my four-year-old website CharterWave, with the blogs of 11 of my most trusted fellow marine journalists. They are experts in everything from megayachts to sailboat racing and helm electronics, and our combination of blogs at BoaterMouth offers online readers hundreds of expert-written articles each month. My hope was that, over time, BoaterMouth would grow into a website that offered this content alongside targeted advertising, brokerage boat listings, and more. That dream is coming true immediately, just a few weeks after the site's launch. Tomorrow morning from the Miami International Boat Show, a press release will be distributed worldwide announcing that I have reached a partnership deal with the websites Boats.com and YachtWorld.com. These sites are the worldwide leaders in bringing new and brokerage boat listings to online readers, with a combined audience of 3.5 million boating enthusiasts each month. That is a larger audience of boating enthusiasts than every U.S. marine magazine, combined. BoaterMouth's content--including the blog you are reading right now--will be syndicated directly onto these websites in a way that targets the articles to appear alongside search results on the 95 million Web pages that Boats.com and YachtWorld.com readers already access every single month. I am confident in saying that the crewed yacht charter industry has never before had its news and information broadcast to such a large, targeted audience, and I am absolutely thrilled that I have been able to create this new opportunity to put the very idea of yacht charter before so many boating enthusiasts worldwide. If you would like to read the full press release, it is available here. Very exciting stuff!
